My name is Elijah Dorroh and I am a highschool student from University School. I am from Cleveland and have lived here my entire life. Within school I am a participant on the squash (varsity captain) and tennis teams, and I am on boards within school that foster discussions on how my school can become more inclusive. I also am a dedicated student and have maintained an unweighted GPA of 3.9 and above. After I graduate from highschool, I plan on pursuing an education in the social sciences. Outside of school I am an active volunteer. I spend most of my time volunteering at Urban Squash Cleveland- a program that provides coaching for the sport of squash, as well as mentoring and tutoring for inner city Cleveland Students. Within this program I am a squash coach and a chaperone for trips and activities. I also volunteer at numerous programs and initiatives within Cleveland are; such as the Kids Book Bank and the Cleveland Food Bank. Currently, I am a board member on the Youth Workforce Advisory Board, which provides job information for the Opportunity Youth within North East Ohio.
